High School Baseball
Fall Prep Program
Snyder Baseball Academy, in association with Gainesville District LL and the Haymarket Bulls, is offering a unique program this fall for all players preparing for high school baseball. This is a seven week program and will meet twice per week; once indoor at the SBA facility in Haymarket, and once outdoor on the field. This is an opportunity to improve both individual and team skills, while working with the best coaches and instructors in the area. The program is open to all players ages 14 and up. Players will be grouped by age and experience.
WEDNESDAYS, INDOOR at SBA 6-9PM
Topics to be covered will be hitting instruction, fielding and throwing, pitchers/catchers bullpen sessions, and speed and agility. The speed and agility program is designed with an emphasis on baseball, position specific conditioning, including first step lateral movements.
SUNDAYS, OUTDOOR at CATHARPIN/LONG PARK 9-11AM
We will focus on position specific training, team defense, situational hitting, long toss program, base running, intra squad scrimmages, and possible games with local teams – depending upon turnout. Mark Harris, Washington Nationals coach and SBA Infield Cordinator, will be present for the start of the outdoor workouts. SBA indoor facility will be used in case of inclement weather.
