Snyder Baseball
High School Winter Program
The High School Winter Program is designed to hone the skills in a variety of areas including hitting, fielding, throwing, and speed and agility. The players will work with some of the best coaches in the area and prepare them for the upcoming tryouts and season. Video technology is utilized for video analysis in appropriate classes. Class size is limited and student-to-instructor ratios are small in all programs to provide qualified instruction with individual attention.
All camps begin the week after Thanksgiving and end the week prior to the start of Spring Tryouts. There will be no camps between December 23 and January 1. Advanced Junior High players may also sign-up for High School programs. Placement is secured with completed registration form and payment. The Winter Program offers the following:
- Winter Training Camp
- Advanced Pitching
- Advanced Infield
- Advanced Hitting
- Reinforcement Program
- Catching
“I have been involved with winter instructional programs for high school players since I retired from baseball in 1990. Over the years we have made changes to the training to better prepare the players. One thing that we will never change is the timing of the camp. More and more you see winter baseball camps ending earlier and earlier in the winter. Most often the reason is financial, as the High School winter programs encroach on the peak season for youth programs. The high school programs at Snyder Baseball will run up to the week prior to the start of tryouts to ensure that we can prepare the players and have them ready to go.”
